If you want a lightweight pickleball paddle, the short version: the Aireo Cyclone X Hybrid ($335) is the best all-round light paddle we hold, the Six Zero Quartz ($99) is the best value, the Spartus Spitfire Standard Widebody ($170) is the best under $200, the Franklin C45 Hybrid 14mm ($379.99) swings the lightest of any full-size paddle in the shop, and the Franklin C45 Anna Leigh Waters 12.7mm ($379.99) is the one to buy if your elbow or shoulder is the reason you are reading this.
Now the part most "lightest paddle" lists skip. Grams are the wrong number to shop on.
Lightweight pickleball paddle: why the number on the scales lies to you
A paddle has two weights. Static weight is what it reads on the scales. Swing weight is how hard it is to accelerate, which is static weight plus how far that mass sits from your hand. Swing weight is what your arm actually feels after two hours at the kitchen line.
They come apart, and our own shelf proves it:
- The Aireo Cyclone is the lightest paddle we sell on the scales, 213 g, and its swing weight is 112.
- The Spartus Spitfire Standard Widebody is 11 grams heavier at 224 g, and its swing weight is 107.
So the heavier paddle is the lighter swing. Filter on grams alone and you will buy the Cyclone, pick it up delighted, then wonder why your arm is tired at the end of the session. Widebody shapes pull mass back towards the handle; elongated shapes push it out towards the tip. Shape moves swing weight more than ten or fifteen grams of static weight ever will.
Both numbers are on every paddle below, each one read off its own product page, because you need both.
Not sure how heavy yours should be in the first place? That question has its own guide: read pickleball paddle weight and how heavy yours should be. This page is the narrower job: which light ones we actually hold, and what they weigh.
The eight lightest pickleball paddles we stock

1. Aireo Cyclone X Hybrid, $335, best overall
215 g (7.6 oz) · swing weight 107 · Hybrid · 16 mm · raw carbon fibre with NanoGraph grit
This is the only paddle on the list that is light on both numbers at once, and that is why it is first. 215 g is two grams off the lightest thing we sell, and the hybrid shape brings the swing weight down to 107, so it accelerates like a paddle well under its own weight. The practical result is hands speed at the kitchen line without giving up the plough-through you want on a drive.
Its elongated sibling, the Aireo Cyclone (also $335), is the genuine featherweight of our range at 213 g, but its swing weight is 112. If you specifically want the lowest number on the scales, that is the one. If you want the lightest paddle to play with, buy the Hybrid.
Aireo Cyclone X Hybrid. Green and Blackout in stock. Cherry Blossom is sold out.
2. Six Zero Quartz, $99, best value
224 g (7.9 oz) · swing weight 108 · Widebody · 15 mm · T300 raw carbon fibre
A $99 paddle has no business swinging at 108, which is lower than paddles here at three and four times the price. The widebody shape does the work. You also get a real raw carbon face (Six Zero measure it at 1,945 rpm of spin) and a 6.4 twist weight, which is the number that decides how much the head wobbles when you catch the ball off centre.
What you give up at $99 is the thermoformed foam-filled build of the paddles further down this page, so it is a touch less forgiving on a mishit and the feel is firmer. For a first carbon paddle, or a second paddle to keep in the car, it is the easiest recommendation in the shop. Deepest stock here too, in Smokey, Citrine, White, Rose and Amethyst.
One honest note: at $99 it sits under our $150 free Australian shipping threshold, so postage is added unless you are putting something else in the cart.
3. Spartus Spitfire Standard Widebody 16mm, $170, best under $200
224 g (7.9 oz, +/- 0.2 oz) · swing weight 107 · Widebody · 16 mm · QuadFiber carbon with PermaGritNano
The paddle that makes the point at the top of this page. On paper it is one of the heavier paddles here. In the hand it ties the Cyclone X for the second-lowest swing weight on the list, because the mass is sitting where your hand is rather than out at the tip. At $170 with a grit surface built to survive, it is the best thing we sell under $200 for a player who wants a light swing and does not want to spend $300 to get one.
Nine in stock, one shape. The hybrid version of the Spitfire is in our warehouse but not yet listed.

4. Franklin C45 Hybrid 14mm, $379.99, the lightest swing in a full-size paddle
215 to 224 g (7.6 to 7.9 oz) · swing weight 104 · twist weight 5.6 · Hybrid · 14 mm · 45-degree T700 raw carbon fibre
This one landed on the shelf yesterday and immediately took a slot on its numbers. A swing weight of 104 is the lowest of any standard-shape paddle we hold, and at 41.4 cm long by 19.3 cm wide with a 14.5 cm handle it is still a full-size paddle, not a compromise. The 14 mm core with Franklin's inner foam layer gives it more pop than its weight suggests, and the 45-degree carbon layup is where the grit comes from. USAP approved.
Buy this if you want the easiest swing available without dropping to a shorter paddle. Three in stock, in Blue.
5. Franklin C45 Anna Leigh Waters 12.7mm, $379.99, easiest on the arm
218 g avg (7.7 oz) · swing weight 92.3 · Hybrid (Aurelius) · 12.7 mm · 45-degree T700 raw carbon fibre
A swing weight of 92.3 is not a small improvement on the rest of this list, it is a different category. Nothing else we stock is within ten points of it. If you are shopping for a light paddle because of tennis elbow, a shoulder, or a wrist that has started complaining, this is the paddle to try first and it is not a close call.
The trade is real and worth saying: a 12.7 mm core and that little head mass means you supply the power yourself. Drives take more swing, and put-aways reward technique over the paddle doing it for you. Players who hit flat and hard will find it thin. Players who dink, reset and win points at the kitchen will find it disappears in the hand.
Three in stock.

6. Six Zero Coral Light Weight 16mm (Misty Blue), $275, the purpose-built one
About 215 g (7.6 oz) · swing weight 108 · Hybrid and Widebody · 16 mm · Diamond Tough raw carbon fibre
Six Zero took the Coral, which is one of the best-liked paddles in Australia, and built a lighter version of it rather than asking you to compromise on a different model. You get the same Diamond Tough carbon face and the 16 mm thermoformed feel, about 17 g lighter than the standard Coral, at a swing weight of 108.
If you already play a Coral and want the same paddle with less in it, this is that paddle and there is nothing to think about. Three left in total, one Hybrid and two Widebody, so it is the one on this list most likely to be gone by the time you finish reading. More of the range on Six Zero pickleball paddles.
Six Zero Coral Light Weight 16mm
7. RPM Jade Widebody, $374, best light paddle for spin
218 to 221 g (7.7 to 7.8 oz) · swing weight 104 to 107 (Widebody) · Widebody · 14 mm or 16 mm · SICmatrix silicon carbide
The Jade is the spin paddle in our range, and the widebody build happens to be one of the lightest-swinging paddles we sell, at 104 to 107. A silicon carbide face is a harder, grittier surface than raw carbon and it holds its bite longer, so a light paddle that still shapes the ball is a rare combination.
Read the stock carefully before you commit: the Widebody 16mm is in stock with 21 on hand, and the Elongated builds are on pre-order, with a deposit now and the balance charged when it ships. The Elongated also swings at 112, so for a light paddle the Widebody is the one you want anyway.
8. Friday Aura Hybrid 16mm, $215, the light all-rounder
222 g (7.8 oz) · swing weight 110 · Hybrid · 16 mm · T700 raw carbon CFC
The Aura is the one you buy when you do not want to think about it. 222 g, swing weight 110, a 16 mm thermoformed core and a T700 raw carbon face at $215, which is a fair amount of paddle for the money. It is not the lightest thing here and it does not try to be: it is the one most people get on with immediately and keep playing. Black, Purple, Green and Orange all in stock.
How we chose
Every weight, swing weight and twist weight on this page is the figure the maker publishes, as recorded on our own product pages, and every price and stock level was read from our catalogue on 2 November 2026. We sell all eight, we have hit most of them, and the crew here play the Coral, the Jade and the Spitfire regularly.
What we did not do: we have not independently lab-tested swing weight, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Those numbers come from the manufacturers. We do weigh paddles on request, because real paddles vary by a few grams against their stated spec, and the Spitfire is the only one here that publishes its tolerance (+/- 0.2 oz). If a precise weight matters to you, ask us before you order and we will put the one in the box on the scales.
The ranking is ordered on how light the paddle plays, how deep the stock is, and whether the price is defensible for what you get. It is not ordered on margin, and three of the eight are among the lower-margin paddles we sell.
What we do not stock
We do not hold anything under 213 g. The genuinely feather-light builds at 7.2 oz and below that some overseas shops list are not in our range, so if that is your hard requirement we are not your shop for it today. We would rather say that than stretch the word "lightest" over a 213 g paddle.
We also do not stock a light paddle built specifically for small hands beyond the grip circumference the makers supply. If that is the problem you are solving, an overgrip is the cheaper and better answer than a different paddle: see how to hold a pickleball paddle, grips and grip size.
Picking yours
If you are new, start with the Six Zero Quartz at $99 and spend the difference on balls. The rest of the entry range sits on Beginner pickleball paddles.
If something hurts, go straight to the Anna Leigh Waters 12.7mm. If you want the best light paddle full stop, the Cyclone X Hybrid. If your budget stops at $200, the Spitfire Widebody.
And if the real problem is that your current paddle feels dead rather than heavy, weight is not your issue and buying lighter will not fix it. Two things to read instead: 14mm vs 16mm pickleball paddle and pickleball paddle shapes. Control-first builds are gathered on Control pickleball paddles, and the whole range is on pickleball paddles.
Questions we get asked
What is the lightest pickleball paddle you sell?
The Aireo Cyclone at 213 g (7.5 oz) on the scales. The lightest to swing is the Franklin C45 Anna Leigh Waters 12.7mm at a swing weight of 92.3, and for most players that is the more useful answer.
Is a lighter paddle better for beginners?
Usually yes, but for hand speed rather than for comfort. A lower swing weight gets the paddle face to the ball faster at the kitchen, which is where beginners lose most points. What a light paddle will not do is add power: you supply that.
Will a lightweight paddle help tennis elbow?
A lower swing weight reduces the load your arm takes on every shot, so it can help, and the paddle most likely to help is the one with the lowest swing weight rather than the fewest grams. We are a pickleball shop and not physios, so treat that as mechanics rather than medical advice.
Can I make a paddle lighter?
No, but you can change where its weight sits, which changes how heavy it feels. That is the genuinely useful lever and it costs about $25: how to add weight to a pickleball paddle.
What about the rest of the range?
