At the heart of the Jade is the MPP floating core. This full-foam construction is engineered to resist the breakdown and dead spots that wear down other paddles over time. The floating MPP core is surrounded by soft EVA foam, tuned for elite power, an oversized sweet spot, and long-term durability.

But the true star of the Jade is its grit. RPM went through prototype after prototype chasing Tier 1 durable roughness, and landed on a surface that generates elite spin and, critically, holds it. With the SICmatrix silicon carbide surface, the Jade generates spin most paddles cannot match and keeps generating it long after other faces smooth out and fade.

Which one should you take?

Four builds, two decisions. Get these right and the rest is preference.

Shape. The elongated is 16.5 inches long and 7.5 wide: more reach on the stretch volley, a longer lever for serves and drives, and more face to brush up the back of the ball. You pay for it with a narrower sweet spot. The widebody is 16 by 8 inches, and its twist weight is meaningfully higher (6.8 to 6.9 against 6.0 to 6.2), which is the spec that decides whether your off-centre contact still lands in. Widebody also swings lighter, so it arrives sooner in a hands battle at the kitchen.

Thickness. 16mm holds the ball on the face a fraction longer, which is what lets you drop a third shot short instead of floating it. 14mm sends it off quicker and harder with less margin. If you are not sure, take 16mm.
