Pickleball Labs Balance Caps (6g, 9g, 12g Set)

Balance Caps add weight at the very end of your handle. Each one is a weighted disc that sticks onto the butt cap your paddle already has, and the case holds all three: 6 grams, 9 grams and 12 grams. Weight down there moves the balance point back towards your hand, so the paddle gets heavier and steadier without getting much slower to swing.

Why weight the handle

• Tame a head-heavy paddle. If your paddle feels sluggish at the kitchen line, a cap pulls the balance back and makes it quicker in your hand.
• Counterbalance tape up top. Added lead or tungsten tape at the top edge for power? A cap at the other end brings the balance back to where you liked it.
• More mass, same feel at the head. A heavier paddle is steadier through fast exchanges and blocks, and weight at the handle adds that mass with the least change to swing weight.

Which one first

Start with the 6g, play a session, and only step up to the 9g or 12g if you want more. The green ring on each cap is longer on the heavier weights, so you can tell them apart at a glance on the handle.

Fitting

Wipe the end of your butt cap clean, peel the backing off the cap and press it on firmly.

Tournament play

Fine for social and club play. USA Pickleball's equipment standard lists the add-ons allowed on a sanctioned paddle, and add-on handle weights are not clearly on that list, so if you play sanctioned events, check with the tournament director first.
