The Spitfire Standard is the same paddle that took Pickleball Pursuit's 2026 Paddle of the Year, built on the shape most club players actually reach for. A 16mm Generation 4 Turbo Foam core, four layers of carbon in Spartus's QuadFiber layup, the PermaGritNano surface over the top, and a 16 by 8 inch widebody frame with a quick 107 swingweight. How it plays

The core is where the power comes from. Turbo Foam is Spartus's fourth-generation foam build, and it is tuned to play like a thermoformed paddle: real pop off the middle, a solid sound at contact, and none of the dead plank feel older foam paddles had near the edges.

The QuadFiber layup is what keeps that power usable. Four carbon layers in a proprietary configuration hold the ball on the face a fraction longer, so resets, dinks and third-shot drops land where you meant them rather than springing off long. It is a power paddle that still lets you play soft at the kitchen.

Spin comes from PermaGritNano, the newest version of the surface Pickleball Effect rated the number one Tier 1 durable grit. Spartus quote 2,100+ RPM. What matters more is that it keeps biting after months of club play, which is exactly when most gritty faces go smooth.

The shape is the difference from the Spitfire Elongated. At 16 by 8 inches the face is wider, the sweet spot is more forgiving on off-centre hits, and the 107 swingweight (against 116 on the Elongated) makes it the quicker of the two in a hands battle. Twist weight sits at 7.4, so it stays stable when you catch one away from the middle. If you live at the kitchen line and want speed and stability with the power to finish points, this is the Spitfire to pick. If you would rather trade some hand speed for reach and leverage from the baseline, look at the Spitfire Elongated.
