Pickld Pro Set: Friday Aura Pro + Selkirk Net + Franklin Balls

A step-up set built around Friday's Aura Pro, their stiffer, more aggressive take on the Gen 4 foam platform. Pick your colour for both paddles, add the Selkirk net and a 3-pack of Franklin X-40 balls, and you're set for serious play.

What's in the set

• 1 × Selkirk SLK Prime Portable Net: USAP-regulation dimensions, steel frame, packs into its own carry bag.
• 2 × Friday Aura Pro Elongated 16mm Pickleball Paddles: Gen 4 foam platform, stiffer and more aggressive than the standard Aura. Choose your colour.
• 1 × Franklin X-40 Outdoor Pickleballs, 3-pack: USAPA tournament-approved, official ball of the US Open.

Why buy the set

• Bundle to save: buying the net, paddles and balls separately comes to $791.95; as a set, it's $752.95.
• Two players covered with step-up gear from the first serve.
• One order, one delivery: net, paddles and balls arrive together.

How the Aura Pro plays

The Friday Aura Pro is a 16mm elongated paddle on Friday's Gen 4 foam platform: stiffer and more aggressive than the standard Aura, with the extra reach of the elongated shape. It rewards a player who already has their swing sorted. Read our Aura and Aura Pro review before you commit to the shape.

Setting up the net

Both Pro Sets use the Selkirk SLK Prime: a regulation 6.7m (22ft) net, 0.914m (36in) at the posts and 0.86m (34in) at the centre, with a steel frame and tension straps so it holds its height through a session. It packs into its own bag and goes up in a few minutes. A full court needs 13.4m by 6.1m of flat hard surface.

Who it suits

• Two players who already know what they hit with and want a court at home to hit on
• A couple upgrading from entry paddles who also need the net
• A coach or a serious pair who want a regulation net for drilling

Newer to the game? The Value Set has the same net with two Six Zero Quartz paddles, and for most people buying a first set it is the better call.

Specs at a glance

• Net width: 6.7m (22ft), USAP regulation
• Paddle core: 16mm
• Paddle shape: Elongated
• Ball hole count: 40, precision-drilled, USAPA approved
