Friday Aura Pro Hybrid 16mm Pickleball Paddle - Metallic Blue Limited Edition

The Aura Pro Metallic Blue Hybrid is a limited colourway of Friday Pickleball's stiffer, more aggressive Gen 4 foam paddle in the hybrid shape: a deep metallic blue finish and premium metallic edge guard that catches the light on every swing, wrapped around the same tournament-grade platform. One run only: once it's gone, it's gone.

Highlights

• Deep metallic blue finish: one of Friday's limited metallic kits, an understated colourway for players who would rather the paddle did not announce itself.
• Hybrid shape: balanced reach and manoeuvrability; faster hands at the kitchen than the elongated, with a twist weight of 6.35 that keeps off-centre blocks in play.
• Double-thermoformed carbon frame: Friday's own line is double-thermoformed for maximum stability, and the practical version is a frame that holds its shape under repeated hard drives.
• ElasTECH internal perimeter weighting: Friday's patent-pending system puts the stabilising mass inside the frame instead of on an edge guard, so the head stays settled on a ball caught near the tip.
• Swing weight 116: quick enough to flick and reset, stable enough to drive from the baseline.

How it plays

Where the standard Aura plays soft and forgiving, the Aura Pro plays fast and direct. The dual EPP foam core keeps Gen 4 plushness on resets and blocks, while the firmer, double-thermoformed build sends drives and serves deep with real pace. The T700 raw carbon face bites the ball for heavy spin on rolls and third-shot drops, and the patent-pending ElasTECH internal perimeter weighting steadies the head on off-centre hits. The hybrid is the shape we would point most Aura Pro buyers at: you give up a little reach against the elongated, and in return the margin for error on fast doubles exchanges gets wider. It is USAP certified at PBCoR .43 for tournament play.

Prefer the same paddle without the limited finish? The standard Aura Pro Hybrid is the regular-run version, and the Metallic Blue Elongated is the same finish with more reach. If your game leans on resets more than put-aways, the softer standard Aura Hybrid is the control side of the same platform. The paddle finder narrows it down, our Aura and Aura Pro comparison goes deeper, and the rest sits in the Friday collection.
