Overview
The RPM Friction Pro V2 builds on 2025's paddle of the year, chasing the same thing that made the first one special: serious spin and easy power off a genuinely big sweet spot. RPM rebuilt it around a new Axial Carbon Layup with an EVA foam ring around the face, over the CarbonBite carbon surface and Tri-Density core. Co-designed with James Ignatowich, so it is tuned for advanced, aggressive play.
The Hybrid Flat Top shape splits the difference between elongated and widebody. You keep enough length for reach on volleys and high balls, while the wider face holds onto that forgiving sweet spot, and the squared-off flat top pushes mass toward the top of the head for extra stability and plow-through on drives. At 16mm this is the steadier build: more stability and plush shock absorption, with elite power that still feels controllable, for players who want reach and pop without giving up the forgiveness and control of a wider face.
