The J6CR Crystal Blue takes Honolulu's durable Crystal Blue Endurance Surface and puts it on their longer, narrower J6 elongated frame, trading some manoeuvrability for extra reach and a more powerful swing arc. With a twist weight up to 6.7, it's one of the more stable elongated paddles available, and it suits an aggressive, extension-heavy game. The White colour is on pre-order and ships from 1 October 2026.

How it plays

Honolulu call the J6CR the most powerful paddle in their lineup, and their explanation of why is more interesting than the claim itself. The J6 profile starts from the J2's long-handle shape, extends the face and chops the top into an aero curve, which lets them keep the overall footprint at 16.48 by 7.52 inches while shifting mass toward the head. More mass up top means a higher swing weight (111 to 116) and a heavier ball off the face, and the pitch is that the J2's control character survives the change. That last part is Honolulu's claim rather than our playtest, but the twist weight figure backs the stability half of it: 6.2 to 6.7 is well above what most elongated frames manage, so off-centre hits should stay honest.

The face is the same story as the rest of the CR line. The Crystal Blue Endurance Surface locks crystal media into the surface mechanically rather than painting grit on, and Honolulu's spin testing for this build comes in at 2,296 RPM, near the top of the approved range. The 6-inch handle leaves proper room for a two-handed backhand, which suits exactly the aggressive baseline game this shape is built for. If you would rather have a wider, even more forgiving face on the same technology, the J2CR is the pick. It is UPA-A approved and carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
