The Coral 16mm is the successor to the Double Black Diamond, and it's a step up in almost every way. Six Zero's Tectonic Core Suspension lets the polypropylene core float within the frame, producing a plush, connected feel on soft shots that's distinct from anything in their older lineup. The Diamond Tough textured face is also rated to outlast standard raw carbon by a wide margin, so you won't be chasing spin degradation after a few months of hard use.

How it plays

Six Zero bill the Coral as their all-court paddle of the year for 2025, built to a simple brief: durable foam core, balanced touch and power. The Tectonic Core Suspension System is the headline. Instead of bonding the core rigidly to the frame, the Floating Propulsion Core sits in a precision-tuned suspension structure that, in Six Zero's words, adapts on impact to give smooth control on touch shots and clean acceleration when you swing through the ball. That is their engineering claim, not our playtest, and the reinforced throat pushes the twist weight to 6.7 so off-centre resets stay stable straight out of the box.

At Pickld the Coral comes in two shapes and three colours (Ocean Blue, Coral Pink and Black). The Hybrid is the shape most players should take. The Elongated runs a true 16.5-inch length for extra reach and leverage if you drive and serve big. The Diamond Tough face measures 2,000 RPM of spin and is rated by Six Zero to hold its texture more than four times longer than traditional raw carbon. If you want the same platform with the spin pushed harder, the Coral Pro is the step up.
